Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors for technical goods and services. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to determine procurement requirements. Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment. Monitor supplier performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers. Optimise procurement costs through value analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and bulk purchasing strategies. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation. Process customer sales orders accurately and on time. Track and communicate the status of customer orders with internal teams and clients. Align with finance on payment terms and credit limits. Track backorders and delivery schedules. Prepare invoicing projections and forecast reports. Prepare reports for management and perform other administrative duties. Provide accurate and continuous feedback to management. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high-quality and professional service. Drive continuous improvement and implement lean processes within the business unit. Comply with all Health and Safety standards. Take on evolving responsibilities in line with business growth.
Minimum requirements :
- National Diploma Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 5 years experience in technical buying, technical support, and order processing.
- Preferably, formerly from a Multinational / Global company supplying industrial equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data manipulation and reporting).
