Legal and Compliance Officer

Overview

A leading organisation is seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to provide expert legal advice, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance across their business units and subsidiaries. This is a dynamic opportunity for a detail oriented legal professional with deep knowledge of financial services legislation and a passion for building a culture of compliance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts
• Provide legal opinions and guidance to multiple business units
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and assess business impact
• Develop, implement, and update compliance policies, trackers, and controls
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and disclosures
• Conduct training to embed compliance awareness across the organisation
• Manage FICA / KYC processes and maintain regulatory licenses
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters
