Front of House Manager (High Capacity Restaurant)

Job descriptionRecruit train and supervise front of house staff (hosts servers bartenders runners etc.). Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates goals and feedback. Coach and motivate staff to achieve performance excellence. Oversee daily opening and closing procedures for the front of house. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow. Manage reservations seating plans and customer wait times effectively. Monitor stock levels of FOH supplies (menus POS materials uniforms etc.) and place orders as needed. Ensure compliance with health safety and hygiene standards. Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving revenue targets. Minimize wastage and manage operating costs within budget. Assist with cash-up procedures petty cash control and daily reconciliations. Promote teamwork and communication between FOH and BOH staff. Maintain a positive respectful and professional work culture. Lead by example with exceptional customer service and work ethic. Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to train and motivate service staff. Excellent customer service and communication abilities; professional and welcoming demeanour. Highly organised with solid time-management and multitasking skills. Skilled in handling guest feedback reservations and service flow under pressure. Sound knowledge of POS systems cash-up procedures and basic administration. Strong attention to detail in presentation cleanliness and overall guest experience. Ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams for smooth operations. Hospitality or restaurant management qualification advantageous. Willingness to work flexible shifts weekends and public holidays. Friendly reliable and passionate about creating a warm community-focused dining experience.

SALARY
The proposed salary for the role is R8k - R15k per annum. The offer may be marginally negotiable but will be market related in line with your qualifications skills and experience.
