General Manager : FP&A and Business Partnering

Responsibilities
- Lead the Management Accounting, Group Fintech Operational Entities External Performance reporting, Business planning & Analysis, Business Partnering functions.
- Create strategic capacity with regards to strategic financial planning, modelling, and reporting.
- Ensure that financial decisions are data‑informed, future‑oriented, and commercially impactful, enabling the Group to respond quickly to market dynamics, optimize capital allocation, and unlock sustainable value creation.
- Act as the catalyst between finance, technology, and business; champion automation, standardization, and advanced analytics to enhance decision‑making speed, accuracy, and strategic foresight.
- Contribute to Fintech’s overall strategic goals, to achieve profitable growth, and to continuously improve operations performance. The role will focus on providing support to Group Fintech functions and the various operating entities within Fintech (including Fincos).
Qualifications
Minimum of 4‑year tertiary degree Finance, Financial Management / Accounting.CA (SA) or equivalent is required.Minimum 8 years’ experience in finance, accounting or any other related field.Manager track record of 5 years or more at a senior level reporting into the CFO of a large reputable organization; with at least 3 years in financial technology or telecommunications sector would be advantageous.Proven experience in the financial technology or telecommunications industry, with a deep understanding of industry‑specific financial practices, regulations, and challenges.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth, efficiency, and profitability.In‑depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and corporate governance practices, particularly within the financial technology or telecom sector.Hands‑on experience in integrating operational and financial measures to optimise business performance.Proficient in leading and developing high‑performing finance teams, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Experience working in a global / multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous).Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting.Preferred
