Key Responsibilities :
- Own governance and oversight of the model risk policy and associated standards. Lead annual updates and policy reviews.
- Drive the remediation and resolution of validation findings, working with model developers to agree action plans and evidence closure.
- Maintain and improve the model inventory and metadata (Collibra or similar), ensuring conceptual soundness and policy compliance.
- Design and implement post-deployment model monitoring frameworks, defining performance metrics, thresholds and escalation triggers.
- Prepare and manage regular governance forums (MTSC), including agendas, materials, action tracking and reporting to stakeholders.
- Produce clear model risk reporting and escalate material model risks per policy and regulatory expectations.
Job Experience and Skills Required :
Education : Honours Degree in Statistics or Risk Management (minimum).Experience :5+ years experience in model risk management, validation, quantitative analysis, or decision science preferably within banking.
Strong understanding of banking / regulatory frameworks (Basel, IFRS 9, BCBS 239 / RDARR).Skills :Technical familiarity with model / data governance tools (e.g., Collibra), and reporting tools such as Power BI.
