Primary purpose of the job
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position requires the services of an individual to effectively develop, implement and maintain quality systems to ensure that all subordinates are working and performing according to the requirements as set out in their job descriptions and quality operating system procedures.

Key Performance Areas
- Manage performance of subordinates.
- Maintain quality systems according to ISO & OEM system requirements.
- Ensure that all customer requirements are met.
- Continuous improvement of product quality and systems by analysing performance and implement corrective action when required.
- Establish and maintain Quality Department budget.
- Manage customer requests / complaints.
- Manage quality performance indicators.
- Train and mentor subordinates.
- Continuously improve QMS in-line with customer expectations.

The Construction Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) on all construction sites. This pivotal role ensures that all works are executed in strict adherence to project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations, ultimately delivering superior quality infrastructure.
Required Experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in quality management roles within the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on civil engineering or large-scale building projects.Demonstrable experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.Proven track record of successfully delivering projects that meet stringent quality standards.Experience in conducting internal and external quality audits.Familiarity with relevant national and international construction codes, standards, and regulations.Required Qualifications
A minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree in Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Relevant professional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Quality Management Professional) are highly advantageous.Technical Acumen :Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, testing methods, and quality control techniques.
Analytical & Problem-Solving :Ability to identify root causes of quality issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
Attention to Detail :Meticulous in reviewing documentation, conducting inspections, and ensuring precision in all aspects of work.
Leadership & Influence :Strong ability to lead quality initiatives, influence site teams, and ensure adherence to standards without direct authority.
Communication :Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, training, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Organizational Skills :Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple quality processes across various projects simultaneously.
Integrity :Unwavering commitment to ethical practices and maintaining the highest quality standards.
