Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as a Commercial Underwriter in the insurance industry. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Proficiency in insurance underwriting software and MS Office Suite. Risk Management / Business / Accounting / Finance Honors Degree from a recognised Tertiary Institution. A completed RE5 qualification. Proven track record 1-2 years of work experience in the insurance industry is an advantage. Any business, legal, or insurance industry certificates.

Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and underwrite commercial insurance applications with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing for policies.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide expert advice.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to enhance business partnerships.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing policies to ensure they meet client requirements and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
