Financial Controller

Well-established automation company based in Cape Town is seeking a qualified and experienced applicant to join their dynamic team.

The Financial Controller will play a key role in steering our financial operations toward continued success. The applicant’s expertise in managing accounting practices, budgeting processes, and financial planning will ensure our financial integrity and support strategic decisions to foster business growth and maximum profitability.

Finance

• Responsible for all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, A / R, A / P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Manage banking, cashbook processing, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Lead budget and financial forecasts : prepare budgets and forecasts, report on variances.
• Publish monthly management accounts.
• Support auditors in the timely preparation and delivery of annual financial statements.
• Handle statutory and regulatory reporting, coordinating all business requirements.
• Oversee quality control over transactions and reporting, ensuring integrity of financial data.
• Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with VAT, income tax, and other tax obligations.
• Assign, monitor, and coordinate financial tasks, planning and organizing work.
• Provide technical, procedural, and policy guidance to the company.
• Handle insurance coverage, claims, and annual renewals.
• Maintain and update vehicle amortization schedules.
