Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive SHEQ strategy, implement with senior management, and provide assurance.
- Engage staff in continuous SHEQ improvement and monitor objectives.
- Identify organisation wide SHEQ trends and address them effectively.
- Budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Provide guidance to line management on SHE matters and offer training services.
- Develop safety policies aligning with regulations and ensure compliance.
- Monitor workplace activities, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Establish protocols for incident reporting, investigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on safety regulations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage emergency preparedness, fire safety, and environmental health initiatives.
- Integrate safety measures into project planning and ensure ergonomic workstations.
- Willingness and ability to relocate / travel for unspecified periods.
- Flexibility in terms of working hours.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Valid Code EB driver’s license.

Qualifications and Work Experience :
Essential : Applicable certification and / or an NQF / QCTO SHE qualification and registration as a Safety Manager by the SACPCMP.Ideal : Applicable diploma and / or an NQF / QCTO SHE qualification and registration as a Safety Manager by the SACPCMP.7 – 10 years’ work experience in a Construction environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
