This is a 2IC role, reporting to the Service Desk Manager (in Manage Services Department).
Please note : This is an office / based (not hybrid) position for an international company with set working hours.
10 : 30 – 19 : 30 (Monday – Friday)
Qualifications and Certifications
- Completed Matric / Grade 12
- MCSA | MCITP
- CCNA | CCDA | CCVP | CCIE
- VCP
- Project+ | Network+
- Fortinet NSE4 – NSE8
Minimum Requirements
5–8 years network engineering experience within IT Services and Managed Services environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Server | Exchange | SQL | IIS | Cisco Internetworking | VPN | firewalls | backups | network infrastructure | Cloud services.
Hands‑on experience with VOIP / SIP telephony systems, virtualization, and enterprise backup solutions.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and client‑facing skills.
Key Performance Areas
Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of server operating systems, applications, network infrastructure, and endpoints.Monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing network, server, and cloud services for enterprise clients.Engaging with stakeholders and clients to assess project requirements and provide technical guidance.Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure timely project delivery and issue resolution.Identifying risks and implementing contingency plans proactively.Analyzing existing operations and recommending process or technical improvements.Scheduling and conducting training sessions for team members or client staff.Updating work schedules, documenting configurations, and performing troubleshooting as required.Mentoring and assisting junior team members in technical and operational tasks.Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to internal and client stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
