Our client, a Market Leader in Driver and Fleet Management, is expanding and looking for a Midlevel Operations Solutionist to join their dynamic team.
CTC : R18 000 - R24 000
Responsibilities
- Core roles and responsibilities of a Mid Operations Manager and Solutionist : combines overseeing daily operations with identifying and solving complex business problems to ensure that tactics align with the greater strategy. Focus on improving efficiency, driving innovation, and raising the company level and professionalism of the workforce.
- Operational Oversight and Process Optimization :
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- The Driver Department : how we hire, train, retain, retrain and contract.
- Ensure processes and protocols are followed – contracting and compliance.
- The Logistics Department : evolving the abilities of the Logistics Specialists (LSs).
- Consolidation : evolving the LSs abilities 70% / 30% split (70% focused on evolution / training / protocol and process upgrade; 30% on new hires).
- Analyze and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Researching cost-to-company leaks.
- Fleet Department : service and maintenance structures are maintained; leaks and wastage mitigation; trips and driver performance reporting; reviewing the communication matrix and protocols between the Driver and Logistics Department.

Formalising best practices and improved methodologies; contribute to evolving the office and workforce; better overall methodologies and daily habits of best practices.Problem Identification and Solution Development
Identify and analyze business processes and operational issues; proactively identify issues during growth phase and take preventative measures.Operational Areas
Driver Supply : reforming onboarding of large numbers of drivers and vehicles in a qualitative way.Logistics Department : assist in building new structure while managing current workflows and LS needs; design innovative solutions and develop strategic plans; use data and metrics to diagnose problems and measure impact; ensure company is metric-based with timely reporting.Strategic Planning and Innovation
Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.Walk through the Company\'s top achievable 10 home runs; collaborate on strategies; execute consistently; align operational activities and achieve company coherence; create clear objectives around the company vision.Quality, Risk, Training and Reporting
Ensure high standards of quality in all operational activities and implement quality assurance programs.Identify and mitigate operational risks, develop contingency plans for disruptions, and ensure business continuity and resilience.Provide training and support to teams on new processes and solutions; ensure smooth transition and adoption.Prepare and present reports on operational performance; use data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.Qualifications
Education : Relevant tertiary education would be advantageous.Note
