Branch Manager (Roofing / Steel / Construction)

POSITION : Branch Manager

LOCATION : Durban

REPORTING TO : Chief Executive Officer

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB : Manage Branch within allocated region.

Ensure consistent profitable growth in sales revenues through effective planning and management of sales and operational personnel.

Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term objectives and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Matric / Grade 12
• National Diploma in Sales Management
• Diploma in Sales Management or Business Management would be an advantage
• Degree or Post Graduate Degree would be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years' experience using Microsoft packages
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the local roof industry
• Minimum 12-15 years' experience in sales in the construction industry
• Minimum 6-10 years' experience in a management position

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCE : Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Skills / Abilities : Persuasion, critical thinking, active listening, judgment and decision making, negotiation and conflict management, fluency of ideas, problem solving.

Experience in senior-level roles, with good communication skills, in FMCG environments, and in employee and stakeholder engagement.

Strong management skills including performance management, talent development, and fostering a high-performance culture.
