Overview
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations relating to the Group’s direct and indirect taxes. In addition, they will oversee the day-to-day execution of the Group’s tax strategy and policies to ensure that tax risks are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated.

General
- Ensuring compliance with indirect and direct tax legislation and changes in requirements, understanding and interpreting of relevant legislation and analysing the impact on the Group.
- Control tax compliance register and tax risk register
- Provide tax advice to the finance team
- Be involved in projects with tax implications
- Manage SARS audits and requests for information
Corporate tax
Preparation and processing of monthly current and deferred tax for management accounting purposes.Preparation of the group’s provisional and year-end tax computations.Preparation of income tax, provisional tax and dividends tax returns and supporting schedules.Indirect Tax
Review the VAT and withholding tax computations, reconciliations, reasonability tests and returns.Review of annual VAT apportionment calculations.Management of SARS Customs deferment account.Other
