Minimum requirements for the role :
- A diploma or degree in either chemistry or a related sciences qual if preferred but not essential.
- Previous sales experience having sold raw materials into the industrial or related manufacturing industries is essential for the role.
- Must have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic CRM knowledge is preferred.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Manage key accounts and support the growth of speciality silicones within a variety of different manufacturing industries within South Africa.Identifying and engaging with clients across multiple industrial manufacturing sectors.Presenting and promoting speciality silicone-based product solutions to various manufacturing customers (adhesives, sealants, coatings, personal care, etc.).Developing strong relationships with new and existing customers to understand their needs and propose appropriate solutions.Collaborating with internal technical, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of customer solutions.Identifying new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and customer engagement.Participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to increase brand visibility and network with potential clients.Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to track progress and support decision-making.Responding to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing product information and technical support where required.Monitoring customer satisfaction and proactively addressing any issues to strengthen relationships.Achieving agreed sales targets, KPIs, and growth objectives.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
