Introduction

The main purpose of the role is to ensure efficient operation of the paper machine. The main duties include :

• Assist operators and controllers in the plant as and when required.
• Learning the rewinder, pope, paper machine and RCF plant.
• Feed paper to start a new reel on the re-winder.
• Running rewinder.
• Making a join after paper break at the rewinder.
• Assist monitoring the rewinder equipment condition and inform maintenance when not in good condition.
• Assist at the paper machine during tail feeding.
• Assist during breakdowns and shut.
• Assist with troubleshooting during periods of poor run-ability at the rewinder.
• Assist in any assigned maintenance tasks.
• Adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards.
• Assist anywhere on the plant as requested by senior management.
