A Vacancy exists for a Control Room Manager in the Critical Infrastructure Division , based in Centurion .
The ideal candidate will lead the 24 / 7 national control environment that safeguards our telecommunications client’s tower network. The NOC is the operational heartbeat of the BTS Security Solution monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring seamless response to all national security events.
This role requires an exceptional leader with a strong balance of operational discipline, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage both people and performance in a high-pressure environment.
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Lead, manage, and coordinate all NOC operations on a 24 / 7 basis.
- Oversee alarm, fault, and incident management processes across the BTS Security network.
- Ensure KPI performance in line with contractual obligations and service-level targets.
- Drive NOC staff performance through structured coaching, monitoring, and development.
- Coordinate system health checks, firmware updates, and redundancy testing (PSIM, R24, iCrypto, etc.).
- Manage escalation protocols and communication between NOC, Technical Teams, and Armed Response.
- Ensure adherence to all governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain business continuity through process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

Strong analytical and situational decision-making ability.Excellent people management and team motivation skills.Understanding of control room technologies and network-based security systems.Strong attention to detail with ability to handle simultaneous high-priority tasks.Proactive problem solver with a drive for service excellence.PSIRA certification – Grade A;Matric (Grade 12) essential.Formal Management Qualification (e.g., Junior Management & Supervisor Development, Leadership Certificate, or equivalent).Customer Service or Call Centre Training (Inbound, Outbound & Customer Service).Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a control room or NOC environment (security or telecoms).Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role.Proven knowledge of alarm management systems (PSIM, CiiMs, Synapse, or similar).Experience in actively managing KPIs, SLAs, and performance reporting.Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;Own reliable transport and driver’s license;
