Key Responsibilities
Aerodynamic design and analysis of guided and unguided rocket systems and other high-speed vehicles.
Maintain and improve in-house numerical solvers (e.g., 6-DOF flight simulation, internal ballistics)
Collaborate across departments on multi-disciplinary projects
Write detailed technical and project design reports
Provide system-level testing support in South Africa and abroad
Assist with systems engineering, project management, manufacturing, and QA
Engage with clients and suppliers
Mentor and guide client engineers
Requirements
BSc in Engineering; M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering preferred
At least 3 years'''' relevant experience in rocket systems or high-speed aircraft design and analysis
CFD modelling experience (preferably ANSYS)
Programming experience in Python and C
Experience handling large datasets and / or batch CFD processing
Familiarity with interdependent systems in aerospace projects
Strong design abilities and attention to detail
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Additional Advantageous Experience
Hands-on experience in rocket or aircraft design
Creating aerodynamic models for flight simulation
Wind tunnel test planning and CFD validation
Instrumentation and testing knowledge
CAD modelling experience
