Job descriptionSupervising operations & managing the shift teams. Ability to develop SOP to required standard. Ensure incoming material inspection as per SOP. Manage optimum utilization of production line. Monitoring of production parameters as per SOP. Ensuring that output conforms to Quality SOP. Ensure compliance to prescribed material consumption parameters. Monitor utilities i.e. cooling tower, compressor & cooling water. Liaise with Maintenance & Quality Assurance. Ensure team compliance with procedure & statutory requirements. Responsible for the shift team training and development. Capture data on SAP for e.g., coil identification, materials, roll usage & leave. Signing off & submission of verified compensation related documentation to HR. Ensure proper shift-handover. Reporting of operating parameters and capturing consumptions Long term planning for Mill and Roll shop Adhere to safe work practice and good housekeeping (6S)
Our client a leader in the steel industry is seeking an experienced Production Production Superintendent to join their team based in Cato Ridge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Production experience N6 National Diploma (Engineering) / Operations Management.
- Minimum 5 -10 Years of extensive experience in Steel Industry, specific experience in Cold Rolling and Roll Shop Management
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, MS Projects, Power Point)
- Planning and coordinating
