Business Development Consultant

SA - KwaZulu Natal, Durban (Market related)An established logistics and transport company is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to join their Durban branch.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in new business acquisition, cold calling, and client relationship management within the freight, shipping, or transport industry.

Minimum requirements : Matric (Grade 12) required Marketing, Business, or Sales qualification is advantageous.

3–4 years' experience in business development, external sales, or account management, ideally within the logistics, transport, or freight industry.

Proven success in prospecting, cold calling, and securing new business.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze client needs and propose tailored solutions.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.

Solid understanding of freight processes and supply chain operations.

Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.

Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
