Description of the role
The Brand Experience Manager (Event Manager) within the CIB Marketing division, specifically serving the Investec for Intermediaries (IFI) client segment in the Western Cape region, is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of client and staff events. This role is pivotal in translating business objectives into impactful brand experiences that reflect Investec's promise of being “Out of the Ordinary.” The manager ensures that each event is professionally executed, brand-aligned, and delivers measurable value to both clients and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
Develop event strategies aligned with business and marketing objectives.Create detailed event plans covering pre-event, during-event, and post-event stages.Design bespoke client experiences tailored to segment needs and preferences.Execution & Operations
Oversee all logistical aspects including venue selection, catering, AV, and vendor coordination.Ensure smooth operations and anticipate potential risks with mitigation plans.Maintain detailed documentation and communication throughout the event lifecycle.Budget & Procurement
Create modular budgets with contingencies and manage reconciliations.Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and ensure adherence to procurement policies.Limit extravagance and ensure all budget approvals are documented.Stakeholder & Client Engagement
Collaborate with segment leads and business stakeholders to align event goals.Maintain strong client relationships through personalized engagement and feedback mechanisms.Conduct post-event surveys and analyze satisfaction metrics.Brand & Compliance
Uphold Investec's brand image and client privacy across all event touchpoints.Ensure all marketing collateral and vendor conduct align with brand standards.Secure necessary approvals for artwork, budgets, and communications.Performance & Reporting
Track and report on attendance, satisfaction, logistical, financial, and brand experience metrics.Use tools like Cvent to manage invitations, dashboards, and reporting.Qualification, Experience and Skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in event planning and execution within a corporate or financial services environmentCompetent in financial planning and cost controlWell versed in all the Microsoft Office suite applicationsCompetency with Cvent and Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.Creative with a high attention to detailAble to travel and work outside of normal business operating hoursRigorous cost managementCan work independently as well as part of a Team.Media / Advertising / Branding jobs
