Responsibilities
- What Youll Be Doing Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical systems including conveyors, chilling units, hydraulics, pneumatics, saws, and other specialised equipment.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
- Partner with QA, production, and HSE teams to ensure all machinery meets strict hygiene, safety, and compliance standards .
- Drive innovation by designing and adapting mechanical layouts to enhance production output and safety.
- Lead rapid response to breakdowns, keeping operations running seamlessly.
- Manage technical documentation, logs, and equipment records with accuracy.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new machinery, liaising with external vendors where needed.
Qualifications
What Were Looking For A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).35 years experience in mechanical maintenance within a food processing or industrial environment (abattoir experience is a strong advantage).In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.Skilled at reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.A strong problem-solver who thrives under pressure in a fast-moving environment .Excellent communicator with the ability to work independently and in a team.If youre passionate about mechanical engineering and eager to apply your expertise in a dynamic, high-impact environment, wed love to hear from you.
