Duties & Responsibilities

PURPOSE : This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

SAFETY :

Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements.

Promote safety performance.

Do planned task observations.

Conduct safety meetings.

Ensure team members wear PPE.

OPERATIONS :

Ensures production targets are met.

Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production.

Advise on requirements of process spares.

MANAGING THE TEAM :

Train and develop team members. Maintain discipline in the plant.

ADMINISTRATION :

Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control, and maintenance.

Completes required ISO documents.

Maintaining staff training records.

Ensure disciplinary records are up to date.

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Grade 12 / N3
• COMPSOC
• SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage.

EXPERIENCE :

• 5 years' experience in mining / construction as Plant attendant / Junior plant operator / Plant operator.
