Responsibilities

System Development & Implementation :

Support the design, development, and refinement of MEL systems, tools, frameworks, and methodologies in collaboration with the MEL Manager.

Provide technical oversight in aligning historical and current programme data with organisational objectives and emerging best practices.

Assist with Historical Data coding and analysis.

Data Analytics & Strategic Reporting :

Conduct sophisticated analyses of programme data and produce comprehensive reports and dashboards to inform management and stakeholders.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, comparability, and relevance across programmes and reporting cycles.

Organisational Learning & Programme Improvement :

Support structured organisational learning mechanisms including reflective assessments, evaluations, and adaptive management practices.

Facilitate evidence-based decision-making and support integration of insights from MEL processes into programme planning and implementation.

Capacity Building, Mentorship & Quality Assurance :

Manage training initiatives and capacity-building workshops on MEL methodologies and analytics for programme teams.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to MEL Officers and operational teams to enhance performance and compliance.

Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management :

Coordinate compliance audits and ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory standards and reporting requirements.

Work closely with finance, compliance, and impact teams to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and support effective risk management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or Development Studies

Master's degree (Advantageous)

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an M, E & L role or similar within NGOs or related organisations

Strong analytical skills
