Hostess

A well-known restaurant is seeking a dedicated and charismatic Restaurant Hostess to be the first point of contact for their discerning guests. In this pivotal role, you will be the face of their exceptional dining experience, ensuring a seamless and memorable visit from the moment guests arrive. Candidate requirements :

• Grade 12, hospitality certificate will be a plus
• Preferably 1- 2 years of previous hostess experience
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Experience in managing reservations
• Able to work in a team
• Demonstrable exceptional customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends)
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
• Able to handle a high-pressure environment
• Must be well-presented and have an enthusiastic personality
• Candidates must reside in Stellenbosch or the close surrounding areas and have own, reliable transportation to / from work
