Process Engineer role with Unilever; location : Boksburg, Gauteng (Springs area references in original; consolidated here as Boksburg). Full-time, local scope, on-site requirement.

Job Description

Unilever is currently hiring for a Process Engineer (SUIT) within Supply Chain. Reports to Transformation Manager HC. Location : Boksburg. Terms & Conditions : Full-time. This is a factory-based role with 100% on-site attendance.

What You Will Do

• Lead Quality Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service and Logistics.
• Populate the Cost Deployment pillar with data through the Managing Manufacturing Performance Code to focus on key losses.
• Work directly with line crews on a daily basis and act as the technical trainer for line teams, providing coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and counter-measures.
• Validate process improvements and establish revised basic conditions on the line; aim to eliminate losses and wastes and increase line stability to support semi-autonomous teams.
• Eliminate Waste and Loss according to the WCM prioritization process using AM, PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
• Create Technical and Quality Standards to ensure process stability on the line and identify good practices for other lines.
• Ensure accuracy of MMP Code data and maintain consumer and customer focus to avoid passing on inefficiencies to customers and consumers.
• Provide near real-time information to enable quick, data-driven decisions; support talent development and move toward semi-autonomous teams.
• Apply WCM methods and tools, ensure resources are efficiently allocated, and maximize process capability and safety.
• Develop and optimize equipment and processes to maximize factory efficiency and cost savings; debottle and optimize processes to maximize output.
