Overall Responsibility
To lead a shift-based team in the execution of the Production plan in a safe manner complying to the Quality, cost & delivery standards of the Brewery.

Maintain a safe and a healthy working environment
- Comply to SHP Safety, health & environment standards
- Drive safety observation, processes and close gaps
- Support SHE pillar roll-out
- Drive 5S Pillar roll-out in designated area
Focus Area 2
Optimize shift performance
Apply Fundamental / Situational knowledge of packaging equipment and processesManage shift in accordance with Manufacturing Excellence program using the required toolsManage the shift team to achieve production plans within cost targetsActively support NCR processEnsure accurate shift-end reporting and handover to next shiftActively support planned maintenance window processOversee material and product inventory, as well as waste streams during the shift, ensuring accurate tracking of usage and losses.Focus Area 3
Leadership, People Management and Development
Support and entrench the company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and to ensure high performanceInspire and motivate the broader SHP team (not just your direct reports) to deliver on goals and maximize individual and the overall company performancePerform routine administration of shift and employeesSupport TNA process and Training plan implementationEnsure open communication with Shift and performance managementFocus Area 4
Implement Manufacturing excellence Pillars
Fully understand the Manufacturing Excellence strategySupport the ME roll-out plan in PackagingCoach shift staff and call upon Pillar champions and experts to drive each Pillar of ME into the shiftAssist in conducting Pillar self-assessments of the ME program and close gapsFocus Area 5
Drive the use of Manufacturing excellence Pillar Tools
Facilitate quality "Why" problem solving on shiftEnsure Shift handovers as per ME standardDrive Autonomous maintenance process in the shiftEnsure quality at source and implement the Operator Workstation concept throughout the shiftRequirements of the Role
Relevant tertiary qualification (diploma or degree in Engineering, Production or Food Safety field)Minimum of 5 years FMCG experienceMechanical, electrical or Millwright Trade advantageousFlexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a team schedule.Preferred Skills / Competencies
