Sample Preparation Team Leader

Job descriptionPractice the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standard Practice the ALS company core values Comply with the ALS company policies and procedures Always abide by local legislative requirements Always follow all ALS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Compliance to the ALS Quality Management System Prepare and comply with internal as well as external audits for the region. To conduct sampling and inspection activities and prepare samples as per the relevant procedures or directed by the site supervisor These activities may include but are not limited to sampling, packing, labelling, sealing, sizing and weighing of various commodities To record all necessary information regarding sampling and inspection activities as per relevant procedures or as directed by the immediate supervisor. This may include completion of forms and or obtaining photographic evidence of activities Assist in investigation of client complaint and ensure speedy resolutions of queries Participate in section audits Adhering to all communicated ALS policies and procedure Report all sampling equipment failures and faults on time. Practice the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standards Practice the ALS company core values Comply with the ALS company policies and procedures Practice the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standard Grade 12 / Matric Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Sampler Logical thinking and implementation abilities Attention to detail and work under pressure Ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines Effective communication skills both verbally and written Ability to identify HSE risk and report to site supervision Excellence interpersonal, planning and communication skills Demonstrates accountability and a team player Ability to investigate, resolve and respond to queries Inspires and drives excellence in all aspects of work Interact and communicate in a respectful manner taking into consideration the diverse cultures Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and ability to prioritize own workload
About the Position
The Sampling Team Leader will be based in Johannesburg and will report to the Site Supervisor for Inspection South Africa (PTY) LTD. A Sampling Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of samplers to ensure that all sampling related practices tasks, methodologies, administrations, quality control and HSE of the site.
Working Conditions
- Basis : Full Time
- Shift : Monday to Friday
- Work overtime if required
- Closing Date : 5 / 11 / 2025
- Number of positions One (1)
The position will be responsible to :
