Job descriptionPlan, design, and implement landscape and garden projects, including selecting appropriate plants andflowers On Board Cruise Ship Perform regular maintenance tasks such as watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control to ensure the health and beauty of all plants Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems Monitor and manage the health of plants, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise Collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall upkeep and appearance of the property Keep detailed records of all plantings, maintenance activities, and expenses Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in horticulture to continually improve the landscape and gardens Assist with special events and projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills :
- Degree in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of plants, trees, and flowers, including their care and maintenance
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems and their installation and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and a strong eye for design
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests and other team members in a professional manner
- Passion for horticulture and a desire to create and maintain a beautiful environment
