Financial Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking a results-driven and innovative Financial Manager to lead the finance function, ensure compliance, and support long-term business growth. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drive cash flow planning and working capital management to optimise financial performance.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of management accounts.

Ensure full compliance with Excise, VAT, PAYE, WCA, and UK VAT requirements.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with banking partners.

Manage both local and foreign treasury functions.

Oversee the accounting function and ensure compliance with IFRS and Company Law

Provide strategic financial insights to guide executive decision-making.

Requirements

B.Com Honours degree with at least 5 years’ relevant industry experience.

CA (SA) qualification and / or legal background highly recommended.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, Company Law, and Tax Law.

Proven expertise in financial management concepts, principles, and procedures.

Advanced analytical skills and a strong grasp of financial systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to perform under pressure, demonstrating initiative and innovation.
