Network Engineer : Team Lead

Overview

A company that focuses on theft recovery, driver safety, and business optimization through its tracking technology and related services is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain their network. This role will provide technical leadership and guidance, ensuring the network is secure, scalable and high-performing. You will be responsible for aligning the network strategy with business goals, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring systems are reliable and compliant with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Network Management : Design, implement and maintain secure and resilient network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
• Team Leadership : Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship and technical guidance to network engineers; prepare documentation, allocate tasks and oversee incident resolution.
• Security and Compliance : Implement and maintain network security controls including firewall rules and segmentation; collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities, support audits, and monitor network security.
• Performance and Reporting : Track and report on key metrics (network performance, uptime, incident trends); identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget; maintain accurate documentation of network topology and assets.
• Governance : Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as ISO 27001, GDPR and PCI-DSS.
