Professional Engineer

Overview

AltGen is looking for a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) with strong solar PV design expertise to join our client in the C&I solar sector. Based in Johannesburg (preferred) or Cape Town, this role is perfect for an ambitious engineer ready to take ownership of PV system design reviews and approvals across a growing project pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise solar PV system designs using HelioScope and AutoCAD.
• Review, validate, and sign off on designs to ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
• Ensure quality assurance and consistency across all C&I solar projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to deliver on-time, high-quality outcomes.
• Provide technical input on feasibility studies, proposals, and optimisation of system designs.
