Our organization is looking for a Group Legal Advisor to review commercial agreements, provide legal and business-focused advice, and identify legal risks. This role will support the Group General Counsel and / or Assistant General Counsel.

Responsibilities

• Statutory and Regulatory Administration : Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and CIPC, advising on corporate governance best practices, and staying up to date on changes in relevant laws.
• Contract Drafting and Negotiation : Drafting and amending commercial contracts, negotiating with clients and suppliers, and tracking and reporting on contractual issues to Exco.
• Legal Advisory and Compliance : Providing support on general legal issues, interpreting laws and regulations, and coordinating with external legal assistance. You will also engage with the Board, business executives, and regulatory bodies as needed.
