Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to :
Maintaining machinery and equipment on the site per required to be standard.Maintaining and repairing site equipment and building maintenance.Attend plumbing, carpentry / welding, building, plastering and tiling.Adherence to Planned and Preventative maintenance schedulesImproving OPI NONA (overall equipment efficiency) on all production lines.Reduce unplanned downtimeHealth and Safety supervision of machinery, equipment and working environmentCompliance with OHS Act.Provide an effective Engineering service to the Production departmentPerform administrative tasks (job cards, quality check sheets, etc.)Perform stand-in dutiesParticipating in TPM empowering excellence.The successful candidate must have the following experience / skills :
N3-N6 equivalent with Trade Certificate - Fitter and / or Turner, Mechanical EngineeringN3 trade test certificate, in cabinet making.Grade 12 or Mechanical / Electrical NTC3 qualification.Full N2 trade theory completedExperience in a high speed, high-tech bottling operation will be advantageousCompleted apprenticeship with recognized Institution i.e., was registered as an apprenticeMore than 2-3 years relevant practical experienceAbility to work under pressure and display good attention to detailProven ability in problem solving and knowledge of the various problem-solving methodsMust be self-motivated, innovative and able to work without or limited supervisionTo reflect good leadership behaviour - towards colleagues, superior and company valuesMust be willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.Team player, drive, initiative and make things happen and a differenceIndependent, hands-on passion for work.Computer literacy will be an advantage.Closing Date : 26 / 09 / 2025
