Accountant

About the Role

You will play a critical role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment and is keen to build a long-term career in the professional services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements

Perform reconciliations and review general ledger entries

Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors

Submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns

Provide support on tax computations and submissions

Advise clients on best financial practices and regulatory compliance

Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Maintain client relationships through consistent, quality service delivery

Requirements

BCom in Accounting or equivalent

Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles

2–5 years post-articles experience in a similar role

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Xero, Sage)

Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, and financial regulations

Excellent communication and time management skills
