Specialist Analyst - Investment Provider

Our client is looking for a Specialist Analyst for the Investment Providers Department to support the organisation in monitoring and ensuring that authorized Financial Services Providers operate in line with the FAIS legislation and related financial sector laws.

Purpose of the Role

As a Specialist Analyst, you will play a key role in enforcing regulatory standards across the financial sector with a special focus on Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs). You’ll report directly to the Manager and contribute to oversight, compliance evaluation, and risk identification in this fast-evolving space.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse FSP financial statements and statutory returns
• Identify and report non-compliance and financial risks
• Monitor trends and regulatory developments in the crypto market
• Identify and report trends in the financial services sector
• Identify financial risks based on analysis of financial statements and other financial information
• Conduct risk-based onsite inspectionsInvestigate crypto compliance breaches and make recommendations and submit reports
• Support team members with analysis of other forms of financial reports
• Conduct onsite inspection in terms of risk-based supervision approach
• Engage with stakeholders and assist in ad-hoc projects
