Motus Multifranchise Westrand has an opportunity available for a NEW VEHICLE SALES MANAGER responsible for HONDA and TATA NEW CAR sales floors.
The dealership is based at Cnr Hendrik Potgieter & Jim Fouche Road, Westrand, Roodepoort. The Sales Manager is fully responsible for managing and leading the New Cars sales team, maximizing sales and profitability to achieve dealer sales targets and sales forecast commitments, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through the execution of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet sales targets.
- Maximise sales and profitability through customers satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecast.
- Develop the required sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
- Ensure optimum stock of vehicles on premises.
- Ensure cost control and stay within the department budget.
- Ensure adequate product display material is available.
- Review all pricing policies, discounts and trade‑in dealing to maintain dealership profitability.
- Monitor financial performance of the sales department weekly.
- Deal with customer complaints timely and effectively.
- Ensure vehicle delivery meets OEM quality and safety standards.
- Ensure departmental customer satisfaction and expectation targets are met.
- Keep direct and indirect costs within company parameters.
- Provide new model launch training for Sales Executives.
- Establish required staffing levels and training to achieve sales objectives.
- Monitor all floorplan activities.
- Keep stock level within company policy requirements.
- Maximise sale of back‑end products.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years vehicle sales experience within the motor vehicle industry.Relevant new car sales experience is essential.Track record of accurate vehicle valuations, pricing setting and adjusting.Prior experience in a sales management role, managing and motivating a sales team to achieve objectives.Previous successful track record in sales.Knowledge & understanding of OEM target management and variable margin programmes is an advantage.Prior experience in Renault and MG sales or similar brand is highly desired.Required Qualifications
Senior Certificate (Grade 12).Relevant tertiary qualification NQF6+ (e.g. sales, marketing, business management).Other Requirements
Valid, unendorsed driving licence and safe driving record.Computer literate : MS Office and dealer lead management system.Knowledge of dealership policies and procedures.Knowledge of competitive motor industry.Skills & Personal Attributes
