Be responsible for Business Analysis that includes performing enterprise analysis, BA planning activities, high‑level analysis, detailed design analysis, solution assessment & validation, end‑to‑end requirement management, and support analysis.
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in Commerce or STEM fields of study.
- Advanced Business Analysis Diploma / Certification.
- IIBA Membership – advantageous.
- Agile Certification – advantageous.
- 10+ years related BA experience within Financial Services – essential.
- 5+ years related BA experience within an Investments and Fund Administration environment – advantageous.
- CBAP Training and certification – advantageous.
- Experience in Business Analytics, Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence & Analytics.
Knowledge & Skills
Professionally liaise with project sponsors, project executive owners, Product Owners, SMEs, Head : Analysis & Design and Head : EPMO to drive remediation / resolution of project escalations.Work effectively and efficiently to achieve outcomes.Verbal and / or written communication to provide the business with regular progress and feedback at an understandable level.Attend and participate in formal and informal meetings as required.Technical : Modelling tools (Visio, Enterprise Architect or similar), Agile, SQL, project execution management.Customer service orientation / client focus (internal and external).Teamwork, relationship building, listening, interpersonal sensitivity, communication, self‑management (planning, prioritising & time management).Ethical behaviour, honesty, transparency, modelling of values.Rule orientation, results & solution focus (drive, energy & follow‑through), assertiveness (incl. willingness to challenge and confront).Key Performance Areas
Business Analysis Planning : conduct stakeholder analysis; plan BA activities, communication and requirement management; monitor and report performance.Enterprise Analysis : identify and propose projects that meet strategic needs and goals; identify business need; determine solution approach; define scope; assist in developing the business case.Elicitation : explore, identify and document stakeholder needs; prepare elicitation; align back to business case objectives.Requirements Analysis : elaborate requirements to sufficient detail; validate, verify, prioritize, specify, model, assess benefits.Solution Assessment & Validation : assess solutions to ensure strategic goals and requirements are met; determine organisational readiness; evaluate benefits.Requirements Management & Communication : manage scope, traceability, re‑use; prepare and communicate requirements; manage user stories; facilitate enterprise consistency.Technical Support
Extracting data and analysing information to define reporting requirements more effectively.Connecting to data sources and creating data models / data mapping as required.Provide technical documentation for development changes on applications.Project Delivery & Business Requirements
Manage business expectations and prioritise effectively to deliver within agreed scope and timelines.Show agility and flexibility in handling requirements and controlled change management processes.Partnering with Business
