SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job descriptionEffective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail Must be self-starting and detail orientated Structured approach to work and highly organized The ability to take responsibility and show initiative Ability to work well within a team but also highly functional on your own Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively Good problem-solving skills Good internal audit and risk technical skills High level of integrity Excellent communicator (written and verbal) Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (Full IFRS). In addition, monthly divisional management accounts Prepare and file tax returns and supporting monthly reconciliations Assist with the preparation of the necessary documentation for internal and external audits Assist with budgets and financial forecasts Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls Assist with board meeting agenda, resolutions and minutes of meetings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance i.e. BCom Accounting or related
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Minimum of 5 years senior accountant experience, preferably within the fruit packing industry
