JOB OVERVIEW

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a public not-for-profit institution that exhibits, collects, preserves, and research contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora; conceives and hosts international exhibitions; develops supporting educational, discursive, and enrichment programmes; encourages intercultural understanding; and strives for access for all. The museum’s galleries feature rotating, temporary exhibitions with dedicated spaces for the permanent collection. The institution also includes the Centre for Art Education (CFAE), and the Atelier, a project space for emerging Cape Town-based artists.

Job Summary

The Digital and Social Media Specialist will play a key role in the organisation’s efforts to raise awareness and engage with various audiences through digital and social media channels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the organisation’s mission.

Key Responsibilities :

Content Creation and Management

• Develop engaging multimedia content for digital and channels, including photography and videography of exhibitions and events.
• Design digital assets like event invites, social media posts, and promotional materials.
• Measure and benchmark social media performance to refine engagement strategies and develop targeted campaigns.
• Manage paid social media ad campaigns, ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with Communications and Marketing Managers to align digital strategy with broader marketing goals.
