Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership : Manage and supervise workshop staff, completing work efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Quality Control : Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with company guidelines, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Inventory and Equipment Management : Track and manage workshop supplies, tools, and equipment. Ensure the workshop is well-stocked and equipment is properly maintained.
- Health and Safety Management : Enforce health and safety standards, conduct training, and address any safety issues promptly.
- Budget and Cost Control : Help control workshop expenses by managing resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
- Training and Development : Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and keep up with the latest industry advancements.
- Reporting and Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inventory, and staff performance
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum of 10 years experience in trailer manufacturing and repair.Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or similar environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skillsQualification in Trade ( Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Vehicle Body Builder) will be an advantage.Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge.Experience in hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension, steelwork and pain.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeOwn transportMarket Related SalaryContribution to medical aid.Contribution to pensionfund.
