Responsibilities :
- Maintain plant equipment
- Perform plant maintenance during the shutdown period
- Understand and interpret new drawings and manuals
- Install new machines and equipment as and when instructed
- Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
- Do regular inspections of plant equipment
- Give feedback to Maintenance Supervisors on breakdown root cause analyses
- Attend to all relevant breakdowns during standby period
- Complete DMS Work orders and Work order book to keep a record of work completed
- Apply for parts by making use of the requisition procedure
- Operate the Lathe and Milling machine to manufacture parts and spares
- Machine calibrations and setups
- Automation improvements and installation of electrical equipment
- Maintenance and improvements on electrical control systems
Qualification and Experience :
Qualified Trade Certificate as a MillwrightMinimum of 5 years of plant maintenance experienceMinimum of 5 years of Turning and Machining experienceForklift driver's license advantageousExperience in a manufacturing environment advantageousExperience in a food manufacturing environment advantageousExperience with Tool and Parts ManagementComputer literacyExperience in ARC, TIG and MIG welding advantageousOwn transportKnowledge, Skills and Attributes :
