Minimum requirements for the role :
- A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked in a sales role is essential.
- Previous sales experience selling chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Previous sales experience having worked within the detergent, paints and coatings, construction and other related industrial manufacturing markets is preferred but not essential.
- Must be computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Managing and driving sales volumes at key account customers maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities.Promoting new and existing chemical raw material products into the manufacturing industry.Ensuring that key accounts are serviced and that their expectations of products are met.Managing and negotiating the pricing of products with customers.Managing and implementing strategies to drive growth with key accounts.Managing chemical raw material stock portfolio for key accounts.Attending various conferences and trade shows nationally and internationally.Setting and driving budget targets and sales objectives.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
