- To manage the financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance with funding regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting program teams throughout the grant lifecycle

Ensure adherence to the Financial Policies and Procedures and Donor Rules and RegulationsEffective review and timeously approval of purchase orders on the WHC portal ensuring the P2P complies with the financial policies of WHC and Donor Rules and RegulationsMonitor expenditures and ensure alignment with grant terms and conditions and organizational policies and proceduresEffective review and approval of general ledger entries and journal entriesBudget preparation and managementPreparation of journals with the necessary supporting documents for capturingReview subawardees financial reports for accuracy and compliance.Prepare the journal to capture the subawardees costs into the organization's GLEnsure timely submission of financial documentation from subawardeesPreparation of audit samples to support internal and external auditsProvide financial advice to divisions and sitesPrepare and submit timely, accurate, comprehensive financial reports to funders and divisionsLiaison with all relevant stakeholdersEffective compliance with donor requirementsEffective self-managementAdhoc duties include, requesting invoices to external and internal stakeholders including cost recovery invoices with the necessary supporting documentationRequired minimum education and training :
BCom Accounting or equivalentRequired minimum work experience :
Minimum of 3 years financial reporting experience in a healthcare or donor funded environmentDesirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities :
Experience working in a donor funded organization / NGO will be an advantageKnowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and accounting package is desirableMust have a dynamic and compatible personality able to deal with clients, donors and staff at all levelsMust be self-motivated, able to work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary teamThe environment may at times be busy and need excellent management skills and attention to detailsMay be required to work overtime and to travel to various sitesExcellent communication skills (both written and oral) will be requiredTO APPLY :
