REQUIREMENTS :
- Matric (Grade 12)
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Production Management or Operations Management
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Production Manager in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of plastic manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- High level of accountability and responsibility
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
DUTIES :
Production Coordination :
Implement production schedules to meet customer demandsCoordinate production activities with other departmentsAllocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and material, to maximize efficiency and productivityMonitor production processes and workflow, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to address bottlenecks and delaysAnalyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction while optimizing efficiency and productivityConduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actionsImplement inventory control measures to minimize wasteEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocolsMaintain accurate production records and documentationPersonnel Management :
Manage subordinates in line with company policies, procedures, and industry collective agreementsLead, motivate, train, and control any allocated personnelEnsure subordinates record and report quality problems immediatelyMonitor and direct workflow of subordinatesHold regular performance reviews to discuss performance against objectives, counseling employees where performance is not in line with the standardsMotivate the team to develop with a focus on ongoing improvement.
