A leading international Managed Services organisation is seeking a highly experienced Head of South Africa Operations to oversee its Cape Town operations.
The successful candidate will ensure consistent service delivery, operational excellence, and alignment with global processes across IT support and infrastructure services. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record in IT Service Operations within a Managed Services environment, managing both local and international teams.
This position combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional coordination — ensuring performance excellence and client satisfaction across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all local IT operations across Service Desk and Infrastructure functions (1st–3rd line support).
- Ensure ITIL-aligned service management processes are implemented and followed.
- Drive SLA and KPI achievement, client satisfaction, and service‑delivery excellence.
- Lead and develop direct and matrix teams across regions.
- Champion automation, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Align operational practices with cyber‑security and compliance standards.
Requirements
Proven experience leading IT Operations in a Managed Service Provider or global IT environment.Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid network infrastructure.Demonstrated success improving service operations through automation and standardisation.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.ITIL Foundation certification (required); advanced ITIL or technical certifications advantageous.Seniority level
