Key accountabilities
Content Strategy and Brand Alignment
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, incorporating UX writing principles to enhance user journeys and support business objectives.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand identity, campaign themes, and creative direction
Content Creation and Management
Write and manage content for all marketing communications, including performance marketing adverts, emails, social media, printed collateral, press releases, and digital interfaces.Craft user-centric UX copy (e.g., microcopy, error messages, CTAs) that enhances usability and guides users through intuitive and engaging experiences.SEO, UX, and Technical Content Optimisation
Optimise content with SEO and UX best practices to improve discoverability, accessibility, and user engagement.Conduct technical audits to maintain high-quality content across platforms and ensure alignment with user needs.Campaign and Performance Management
Review and manage all marketing and UX content to ensure consistency with brand and campaign objectives.Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to generate innovative ideas, support campaigns, and meet both user and business goals.Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Experience in execution of content strategyAbility to translate a creative concept into a clear content planStrategically driven with a sound understanding of brand and business growth.Must be comfortable with writing in various styles and for multiple formats for example digital advertising, UX for mobile app, social media, performance marketing, in-appActive and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with an understanding of each platform and the best practicesDetail orientatedExcellent proof-readerAn enthusiasm for being a part of a fast-paced environmentMust have technical / professional qualifications :
Matric is essential.A tertiary qualification in marketing, communication, journalism, UX design, or a similar field is essential.8+ years of content development experience (preferably in an agency, digital marketing, or UX-focused environment).3+ years of content strategy experience, including developing user-centred content strategies for brands.3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with teams such as SEO, UX / UI design, product development, and automation.Proven expertise in UX writing, including crafting microcopy, error messages, and user interface copy that enhances usability and user engagement.Key performance indicators
Editorial and UX Writing Consistency
Develop, maintain, and enforce editorial style guides, tone of voice principles, and UX writing guidelines to ensure a cohesive and user-centred voice across all products and digital touchpoints.UX Writing Impact and Quality
Measure the effectiveness of UX writing by tracking key metrics such as user task completion rates, error reduction, and time spent navigating interfaces.Ensure all UX copy enhances usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.Content and UX Workflow Efficiency
Establish and optimise editorial, copywriting, and UX writing processes to ensure efficient collaboration across teams, consistent quality, and timely delivery of content across all marketing and digital products.
