Job descriptionReporting to the National Sales Manager. Able to Identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer relationships in the mining sector. Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to customers, especially in underground mining and roof support applications. Deliver solutions-based sales, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and met. Conduct underground visits, inspections, and demonstrations to understand operational challenges and propose solutions. Prepare and deliver presentations, quotations, and proposals to prospective customers. Achieve sales targets and grow market share within the assigned region. Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Work closely with engineering and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. Education : Engineering diploma or degree in Mining, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or Rock Engineering (preferred). Previous experience in underground mining, particularly in roof support, is highly beneficial. Proven track record in technical sales or customer-facing roles in the mining or related industries. Established relationships with mining personnel, rock engineers and mine management. Self-starter with high levels of initiative, drive, and accountability. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to provide meaningful solutions to customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-centric with a passion for service excellence. Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships. Persistent and goal oriented. Willingness to go beyond call of duty. Computer literate. Sales forecasting. CRM management. Must be fit and healthy to work underground. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Based in Pretoria, Brits, or Rustenburg (preferred). Loyal and dependable – committed to the success of the company. Strong work ethic and personal integrity. Driven by achieving results while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Adaptable and resilient in challenging environments. Our Client is hiring a motivated and dedicated Technical Sales Representative to serve their customers in the Western Limb.
This ideal candidate should be a self-driven problem-solver, committed to providing exceptional customer service while building long-term partnerships.
This role requires both technical aptitude and a service-oriented mindset, ensuring that customers receive meaningful solutions tailored to their operational challenges.
Based out of : Pretoria, Brits, Rustenburg (to be a resident of these areas).
Head office : East Rand, Gauteng.
