Overview

We are looking for an experience Development Technician for a Renowned Automotive Manufacturing Firm in Port Elizabeth.

Minimum requirements

MATRIC CERTIFICATE OR HIGHER
ABILITY TO OPERATE LATHE AND MILLING MACHINES
MUST BE ABLE TO CONFIDENTLY USE VARIOUS MEASURING EQUIPMENT
COMPETENT IN BOTH MIG & TIG WELDING
ABILITY TO READ, UNDERSTAND, & MANUFACTURE FROM ENGINEERING DRAWINGS
GOOD INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
ADVANTAGEOUS :
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH ALUMINIUM WELDING
ABILITY TO ANALYZE FAULTS (FAULT FINDING)
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH CONSTRUCTING AND ASSEMBLING AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES
KNOWLEDGE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE COMPONENTS AND THEIR FUNCTIONALITY
ABILITY TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE

Duties include

FABRICATION OF VARIOUS STEEL & SHEETMETAL COMPONENTS

DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, AND MAINTENANCE OF JIGS AND FIXTURES

CONSTRUCTION & ASSEMBLING OF ALL PROTOTYPE VEHICLES

TRAINING PRODUCTION STAFF THE FUNCTION OF AND CORRECT USE OF JIGS AND FIXTURES

CORRELATE WITH BOTH ENGINEERS AND CAD TECHNICIANS TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT AND EASE OF MANUFACTURE

MAINTAINING A CLEAN WORKING ENVIRONMENT

MUST BE WILLING TO PERFORM A PRACTICAL TEST ON REQUEST
