Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Department to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.Maintain, develop, and enforce robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), including HACCP, FSSC 22000 V6 and customer audit requirements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product quality, systems and processes across multiple production sites.Oversee non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions to reduce repeat issues.Partner with Operations, NPD and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality is embedded across the business.Provide leadership, coaching and development to the QC team, ensuring accountability and performance excellence.Act as the primary point of contact for external audits, certifications and customer quality requirements.Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, legislation and quality systems (FSSC (implementation and audit readiness), ZA audit, HACCP, ISO, etc.).Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and inspire teams.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Hands-on, solutions-driven approach with high attention to detail.Production / Manufacturing jobs
