Job Overview :
As a Commercial Claims Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and processing claims for commercial insurance policies. You will be responsible for accurately assessing claims, communicating with clients and third-party stakeholders, and ensuring efficient resolution of claims within established timelines. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Receive, review, and process incoming commercial insurance claims promptly and accurately.
Assess the validity of claims by gathering and analyzing relevant documentation and information.
Verify policy coverage, deductibles, and other pertinent details to determine claim eligibility.
Input claim information into the database or claims management system accurately and efficiently.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and other stakeholders regarding claim inquiries and updates.
Communicate claim decisions, requirements, and resolutions clearly and professionally to all involved parties.
Address client concerns or complaints regarding claims in a timely and empathetic manner, striving to provide satisfactory resolutions.
Maintain accurate and organized claim files, ensuring all relevant documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Prepare and submit necessary reports, documentation, and correspondence related to claims processing.
Monitor and track the progress of claims, following up as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing commercial insurance claims.
Stay updated on changes in insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices, and incorporate these changes into claim handling processes as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the claims handling process.
Work collaboratively with other departments such as underwriting, legal, and finance to resolve complex claims issues.
Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
